ABOUT

© Elisa Mohideen

Georg Neumann comes from a very musical family and began playing the piano at the age of 4. At 11, he expanded his musical abilities to include instruments and learned to play the drums. He was taught by his father and musical mentor, who perfected his talent and skill.

But at 15, his love for the guitar ignited! Starting as a self-taught musician, he also took lessons from Gabriel Guillén, Gerald Gradwohl, and drew inspiration from greats like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Santana, B.B King, Slash, and Gary Moore. Additionally, bands like Guns 'N Roses, Metallica, or Black Sabbath naturally influenced him.

He embarked on many musical journeys across genres: pop, rock, concerts with Big Bands, music in the style of the legendary Rat Packs, acoustic rock, and more.

The guitar has remained not only his passion but also a stylistic trademark. He writes and composes his own music, skillfully navigating between genres and showcasing all facets of his talent from rock to pop.

As a multi-talent, it was natural for the voice to become another important instrument for him. At the age of 22, he took singing lessons from star tenor Agim Hushi, as well as from Verena Göltl and Monika Ballwein.

From 1998 to 2020, he was a member of the Manfred Neumann Ensemble. In 2007, he founded his Big Band project "No fake the Big Band", and in 2011, he established his band "Black Mariah". During the CD production "Done & Dusted", collaboration with international stars like Richard Fortus (Guns 'N Roses), Steve Saluto, Tim McCarver, and Ryan Martini began, with whom he still maintains close contact.

Collaborations and live performances with: Doro Pesch, Andy Lee Lang, Roman Gregory, Monika Ballwein, Gunther Frank, Christian Kolonovits, Sandra Pires, Richard Fortus (Guns 'N Roses), Tim McCarver, Steve Saluto, Gang Guys, Tom Henkes, ORF Radio Wien, Cantores Dei, Andy Baum, and others.
